We rented a jeep for a period of 21 days to (starting from Windhoek) cross the countries Namibia and Botswana with only the two of us. We booked two nights in advance on a campsite at the Sossusvlei. This is necessary since there is a major chance that the campsite will be completely booked if we would arrange it on the day of arrival at the campsite. This also applies to the 3 nights (on 3 different campsites) in Etosha National Park in the north of Namibia. More information about the booking of the jeep and the campsites can be found at Tours.
On the way to Australia we have a spare day on the stopover at Johannesburg (South Africa).
